About

Tom Salaki is a Landscape Architect with over 20 years of experience in the profession. He worked at a variety of firms including Back to Nature, EDAW, HM White site Architects and AECOM, before establishing Square Acre Studio LLC in 2013. Tom has extensive experience in both urban and suburban landscape architecture. His current project work includes estate and residential design projects, corporate property repositioning and urban landscape design, all with a focus on holistic design strategies with economically and environmentally sustainable solutions. More recently Square Acre Studio has taken a strong pivot towards incorporating native plants into their designs in order to enhance habitat for local wildlife, taking cues from the research and writings of Doug Tallamy. Tom received a bachelors degree in landscape architecture from Penn State University as well as a Masters degree in urban and environmental planning from the University of Virginia.
